Ford Focus RS
The next Focus RS to hit our radar is the Performance Blue car in standard form without any Lux Pack’s and upgraded seats but with just 46 miles on the clock. The car is coming up for auction in a months time. It’s April 2017 and we head off to try and purchase the low mileage Focus RS. On the day of the auction there is a lot of interest in the car within the room. These delivery mileage cars do not come up for sale very often. We manage to locate and talk to the dealer selling the car before the auction commences. Viewing the car, looking through the paperwork and talking to the dealer everything stacks up with the vehicle. The Focus RS comes up for sale in the afternoon, the bidding quickly reaches our reserve price. We carry on bidding! It’s now between us and one other bidder. We reach our second limit and our opponent places yet another bid. We look at each other and decide to place just one more incremental bid of £250. We’re now out! Agonisingly we wait for our adversary to place his next killer bid. The room falls silent! The auctioneer slows to an agonising pace and raises his gavel. Going once, going twice, last and final bid, There is no counter bid SOLD she’s ours! We paid more than we expected, but we keep assuring ourselves by saying cars with this mileage and history rarely come up for sale. We arrange for the car to be transported to us in the near future. One month later the car finally arrives. We now have three in the collection.
