2011 Ford Focus RS

White Focus RS It’s now late April 2017 and another Frozen White Focus RS with just 11,000 miles is offered to us by the same dealer we purchased the 46 mile Performance Blue Focus from at auction that month. Based on the condition of the Performance Blue car we decide to go and view the car in Newcastle. On the way we also arrange to look at a second Frozen White Focus RS with 7439 miles in Bolton. We’re up at 5.00am to head off to Bolton. The journey is good and we manage to avoid the motorway traffic. Arriving at Bolton the dealer lets us in to his heavily fortified premises. We walk through his showroom full of Ferrari’s, Bentley’s and Nissan GTR’s into his preparation workshop. There she is looking resplendent in Frozen White.  The dealer gives us an overview of the car and leaves us to check the car over. We spend two hours checking the condition of the car. We are really impressed with the underneath of the car and engine bay. The cars condition reflects the low mileage. All of the guys at the dealership are really helpful passing on tips and knowledge in maintaining these cars. We then head off to the showroom to review the paperwork. The car has a full service history and all of the MOT’s to validate the mileage. We love the car but explain to the dealer we need to view the second car before making a decision. We then make the long journey up to Newcastle to view the second car. Sadly it is not in the condition we would like and we quickly decide it’s not for us. This makes the decision to purchase the Bolton car much easier Our journey does not end there. We now head down the A1M to view a Capri 3.0S in Norfolk from the dealer we purchased the Ultimate Green Focus RS from.  We arrive in Norwich about 9.00pm and book into a local hotel. The next morning we visit the dealer at his home. The Capri is part of his personal collection and he is very reluctant to sell the car at present due to its original untouched condition. Follow our viewing of this totally preserved car the dealer agrees we can have first refusal if he decides to sell the Capri in the future. A great morning looking at great cars and sharing our experiences. We then head off to Kings Lynn to view a third Focus RS in Performance Blue. The car is being sold by a private individual. We look over the car and again decide the car is not in the condition we would like. Our final destination that day is Newmarket to view a Focus RS interior for sale. Again we are disappointed with the condition and we decide not to purchase. We head off home. We spent a weekend travelling the length and breadth of the country to view three Focus RS’s, one Capri 3.0S and one Focus RS interior. Having covered 960 miles in two days we decide to purchase the Focus RS in Bolton. The next day a deal is struck on the price for the car. The dealer is reluctant to see the car go and agrees we can leave the Focus RS at his premises until we are ready to collect it.
